Reply:I am far from being an xpert but 5 / 8 seems a tad course for 1/8 stock what is the rule 2 teeth, or 3 teeth in contact??-- fredLincoln 180C MIG
Reply:3 teeth in contact at the thinnest point.

Reply:For interrupted cuts, I like to use a straight 18T Starrett blade. I know that I sound like a broken record recommending them (Starrett) all the time, but I really do notice a significant quality difference. I choose the high tooth count to keep the material from going too far in the gullet on the tip of the cut. I suppose you could go with a coarser tooth and be careful at the start and end of the cut, too. |
