So I'm just curious because I have asthma how bad the fumes are with welding I've been considering going to school for it and my asthma gets pretty bad when I'm at like a job site putting up sheetrock where it's all dusty and stuff. But you have to wear a respirator anyways when you weld or a rebreather correct? Do they make really high quality respirators that would allow an asthmatic like myself too make a living at it?
Reply:I have asthma, I recently started using a Speedglas Air supplied hood. The thing is awesome! I don't get any of that crap in my lungs anymore. I bought the 9100 FX model, pretty spendy, but worth every penny to me. |
