Any one built one? Have pics/plans or a how-to? Most folks seem to favor vertical ones, but I need horizontal for my work/use. I'm thinking 4x48" Thanks for the info!200amp Air Liquide MIG, Hypertherm Plasma, Harris torches, Optrel helmet, Makita angle grinders, Pre-China Delta chop saw and belt sander, Miller leathers, shop made jigs etc, North- welders backpack.
Reply:6x48 is a very common size for belts.

Reply:The crowned idler pulley with all of its adjustments will be the complex part. Somewhere I think I saw that you could buy that complete assembly.
Reply:I have been given a BUNCH of 8x48 belts. I have been thinking of shortening an old tread mill. Sounds good in my head anyway, adjustable speed and all. Cutting the width down might prove interesting though.
