I'm new to the group and look forward to reading through all the prior posts and the information they have. I just purchased a Lincoln 215, does anyone have any advice on this welder or can give information on potential problems. I have had both Miller and Lincoln welders in the past. Liked the 215 because it seems to have more options and appeared to be heavier built. Your thoughts.
Reply:Welcome Gearhead. If you find any posts by a TxRedneck Fellow Ignore them. If he gives you advice or utterance. Ignore it. He is a mischievous critter who frequents this forum at times and steels the identity of Moderators and members alike and passes on bogus lines about welding. He is neither a professional welder, certified nor does he have a degree, so you should not listen to him!!Again I would like to personally welcome you to our community and say I have no personal experience wiht this machine. However, I have read about it, its the Power Mig 215 correct? I have read the specs on this machine and would say I am impressed with it for its size and all. I would think it would be a dandy in the smaller shop. As long as its not being put into production use on large scale, or for work like BBChevy396 does which is commonly marine and sometimes heavy equipment on a large scale, I think this machine would be great.Hope to see more of yaIF it Catches...Let it Burn
Reply:TxRedneck, thanks for the welcome, the information and the warning...LOL |
