Ive had this Miller Cynasty 300 DX for 3 years, about 18 months ago i sent it to a specialist repair center and had the mother board replaced as it failed to turn on. However recently every now and again the gas fails to flow through to the torch from the machine. My gas regulator is works perfectly so there is no issue with the gas flow from the bottle to the machine. This is frustating as i use this set on site and it is becoming unreliable and costing me money. There is nothing in the manual that suggests there is a problem with the machine and i have even spoken to the local welding suppliers and they are stumped as i am.If anyone has any information on what this problem could be it would be much appreciatedscott
Reply:Try a new solenoid? Intermittent problems are the hardest to diagnose..
Reply:I would also look at the connecting wires to the solenoid. Check the insulation on the connections. If they are shorting, it could cut the gas flow.
Reply:thanks guys much appreciated |
