Reply:Thanks guys. It is 11 gauge mild steel. I will attempt some more this morning and send more pics. We have recently purchased a 300A Miller machine.

Reply:Little lincoln weldpack 100, there's a gazzillion of 'em out there. It should run flux core alright on thinner stuff. Should be DCEN. Looking at the lead going to the Gun inside the machine there where the gun hooks up you want to see the gun hooked to the - lead and the clamp hooked to the + post. That 88 amps on the face plate is their (lincolns) rated output just like all welders have a rated output, not the max.
