i got a sp 170 with a burnt out fan. has anybody replaced one.questionsdid you get a lincoln replacement?or, did you get a fan from somewhere else? too much of this going on when i'm waiting for it to cool off."Retreat hell, were just fighting in the other direction"Miller Trailblazer 302, Extreme 12 VS, Dimension 400, Spectrum 375, HF 251D-1, Milermatic 251 w/ spoolgun Hypertherm 1000Lincoln sp 1702000 F-450 to haul it
Reply:I'd never get one from Lincoln unless it was under warranty, or for some reason they actually had a decent price on a replacement part, which isn't likely. Verify that the fan is 240V, and just buy a fan from a supply store on-line and save a lot of money.

Reply:Many of Lincoln's small SP wire feed machines use a special fan that circulates air as well as produces 24 VAC to power the control circuit. Depending on the exact model you have, you may have to get the Lincoln motor, or find another way to supply the 24 VAC.Good luck, |
