Hi all! I have one of those 3-in-1 machines, noticed that my desiccant looked half used-up after less than one minute of cutting. I don't mind doing lots of work (heating / drying desiccant) in exchange for saving a few dollars. Is there such a thing as a large-capacity desiccant filter? It feels like overkill to run copper for the volume of use this will receive, I hope it's not the only way....

Reply:I purchase dessicant beads by the gallon container and "recharge" the spray booth dryers when needed. I also have a refrigerated air dryer which I enable if working long hours in the shop. This is basically a large air conditioner with an air line run through it so a bit expensive to run if not being used. Regardless the three stage filtration used in an autobody shop spray booth will work well for you and you can get decent ones for a little over a hundred dollars. I like "Sharpe" brand products.SlobPurveyor of intimate unparalleled knowledge of nothing about everything.Oh yeah, also an unabashed internet "Troll" too.....

In fact I bought some pellets when I bought my compressor/tower...Pellets came out of a wood mill as a matter of fact.. (1999) I have their tower too. Never needed a refrigerated air drier.
