This is the POL fitting from my weed torch. I have no clue as to why there is the steel ball and whatever the fork else is in there. But can someone, anyone, tell me why this will work on a 20# bbq propane cylinder, WITH THE GOVERNMENT APPROVED "OPD", but will not work on a 100# propane cylinder, WITHOUT THE MOTHER FORKING GOVERNMENTAL APPROVED "OPD"??? I am so mother forking fed up with the mother forking government, PROTECTING ME FROM MYSELF!!! What the fork do they know??? NOTHING, NOT A FORKING THING!!! But they can sit there, becoming millionaires, and preach to me, HOW TO LIVE MY FORKING LIFE!!! ALL THE WHILE, DOING WHATEVER THE FORK THEY WANT TO DO!!! I'M FED UP, I'VE HAD ENOUGH!!!Ok then, anybody have an idea? I really don't want to use up all of my mobile cylinders, when I have two 100#er's sitting there."Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! I sent him over to snag that MIC-4 while tbone wasn't looking!" - duaneb55"I have bought a few of Tbone's things unlike Stick-Man who helps himself" - TozziWelding"Stick-man"
Reply:Nothing on the 100# tank to depress the check valve or whatever that is.Maybe see if you can get a regular CGA 510 nut and nipple to replace that with
Reply:That's not a great picture, but I believe you are holding ACME thread style for the OPD valves. You just need an adaptor to bring you back to the old left hand POL (presto lite) threads I believe. Reply:The torch has a valve that stops has flow if the hose is cut. You need to take it off the tank, then put it on and open the tank valve very slowly.

Reply:The little ball is flow protection device. I just pull mine out with needle nose and they will work on either. |
