Outdoor mount for Axis camera

Last night I whipped out an outdoor mount for a camera that will be mounted at a scale. It's a pretty neat setup. The truck rolls onto the scale. The scale controller is tied to the server and it stores and image of the truck along with they weight. The driver doesn't have to get out of the truck. I cut a few inches of 6" well casing. Yes this will be heavy duty... it's for the farm. Next I plasma cut a circle with cut out for the cable. I then drilled and tapped for some #8-32 screws on the mill. Power tapping made it quick. Yes, I missed the mark on first screw how and had to drill and tap twice. It was late.  I then welded a length of rigid pipe and topped it off with a 10" circle. I had to adjust the upright a bit for the camera to fit. It was late and a hammer made quick work of it.

You still have to power the camera so it's easier to pull CAT6 than dropping AC power. These cameras have edge storage along with all the normal push capabilities.

Thanks for your detailed description of POE. Push generally is used to describe when a server automatically pushes data to a client. In this case, because the camera has it's own web server, it pushes an image to storage when motion triggers. It's uploaded automatically would be another way to say the same thing.
Reply:Test the fit of version 2.0 today. Amazing what happens when you sleep on an idea. I didn't scrap the original one... I just came up with a better idea for this location. The other mount will used in another location but this new version fixed a few issues with the first mount. If I build more of these I'll do a few things different but they will mostly be build order. Biggest change was eliminating the box with the key hole and replaced it with a plain circle for the junction box.
