antone ever had/used one?buddy has one wants to sell 1200$ 80 cf tank 25 ft torch ,regulator,30 ft ground lead and a 15 ft stick lead.never used it before.just learning to tig but if i get it this cheap i can practice for now and latter on i can have a quality machine.
Reply:i have a squareewave 255, i think its a great machine. i would try to beat him up on the price a little more, i bought my machine for 1200 bucks. and i got a bernard ss cooler with it, a wc torch. and the machine looked like the day it was born. a 175 is a 20%duty cycle machine....175 amps @20%. mine is 255amps@40%. if your welding alum. you can creep into the upper limits of that machine real quick. its a ford/chevy thing, but im a lincoln man .......todd
Reply:I was looking at those for awhile before I bought my Thermal Arc 185. You can get them all day for $1200 so it is not a special deal. If it comes with a cart I would try to get it at around $1000.
Reply:I have a Squarewave 175, great machine. I paid $900 for a lightly used example that came from Lincoln Training Center that had been closed. No bottle, but everything else was included.
