Building a flatbed for my '01 Ram 2500 SRW. I do not like more SRW flatbeds, so I tried to take some styling from a DRW flatbed with the bed being narrower than the tires and having the flares.I do not haul much weight, but I pull all the time. So I wanted the bed it's self to be pretty light weight. The main rails are standard weight 4" channel. The cross member's are 1.5x2x11g rec and the outside is 2x4x11g rec. The goose-neck cross member's a 3x5 channel with a .5" plate then a .5" back plate.Parts of the headache rack and toolbox doors before getting bent. The toolboxes and decking are 12g sheet metal. The deck will get a .375" rubber mat after it's done.Receiver hitch plates, .375". The receiver hitch is 4" channel.Got the lower rub rail put on. It's 1x2x14g, like I said before it's built to be light. I do not plan on using the rub rail.More updates to come...Dynamic MetalworksMontrose, CODynMetalworks.com

Reply:Good looking bed but I'd prefer removable rails to make loading/unloading easier.
