Newbie with a Trailer Project, Miller Forum

There is a newbie with a crack in a trailer that is looking for advice and tips on how to repair it. I know there are some members on here that also are on that site so please give him some of what he needs to get this fixed right.http://www.millerwelds.com/resources...new-miller-211I'm sure he can get loaded up with much needed advice and tips on correctly getting this fixed,SAFELY. Reply:I have made some long welds that I had to make several steps to make so walking was part of the process. Maybe he is implying he has walked so now he can run . Maybe he threw that in there because he is clueless. Reply:I just want a better look at the trailer so I can recognize it and steer a wide birth. I don't know if anyone was injured but I was among hundreds of vehicles in very heavy traffic once at 65 MPH who ran over an old fashioned VW Bug bumper. My damage was minor, don't know about everyone else. These things go exponential!

Reply:When you are pulling a trailer, remember that as you go around curves and corners the trailer's wheels will not track the same as the tow vehicle's -- they will track tighter. So if you are making a curve to the left, and the tow vehicle's left wheels are just right of the center line, the trailer's left wheel (or wheels ) will be on or past the line, putting the trailer in the path of oncoming traffic.
