I just ordered this saw and I am sketching up a stand like the one "yorkiepap" made for his PC dry cut saw. I need a few dimensions from someone who has this saw. I want to get the tubing figured out so I know how much I will need. What is the foot print of the base of the saw?The size of the bolt pattern for mounting the base to the stand? And the height of the base plate, which the vise sits on?Thanks for the help, and really nice design on the stand yorkiepap.Scott
Reply:Hey biker bro' Scott,Glad you found the saw stand to your liking. If you need any tips, let me know. My buddy has that Milwaukee saw & we made a stand for his. I think his base was 16 1/2"L X 10 1/2" W. The bolt hole pattern would be approx 15 X 9 or thereabouts. That should give you an idea for table top size that you want to use.DennyComplete Welding/Machine/Fab. Reply:Assuming they haven't revised the design, mine is 3-1/2" to the top surface.  The rubber feet on the legs make the footprint 12-1/4"x20-1/4", and the holes are 10-1/14" on center the short way and 18" on center the long way.Jack OlsenMy garage website
Reply:Thanks Denny, I am trying to get away with one 24' stick of 1-1/2" tubing plus the stick of 1-1/4". My plan was to bolt the saw down through the top plate and the center of the 1-1/2" top frame. Right now my rough calculations are leaving me 1/4" out of 288" using 3/16" for the cut loss? Just to check with you, I tried to scale your picture and what I have so far is the base at 20" wide, 16" deep, from the floor to the top plate 38-1/4". For the 1-1/4" tube table extension about 50" long. Man I am really in need of some good weather to get the bike back out. Scott
Reply:Hey Scott,Here's the link that has the post(#38) that lists the dimensions I used. Hope that helps a bit.Dennyhttp://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=12430&page=2Complete Welding/Machine/Fab. Reply:Thanks Jack, that is just what I was looking for. I will have to revise my sketch, the base is bigger than I thought. By the way you are the reason I went with the 6190-20 saw after reading your posts on the saw, and I went to E-Bay and looked at the blades you suggested they were $40 plus $12 shipping each, just for the heck of it I went to the sellers web-site (not E-bay) and they were still $40 each but I ordered two and shipping was only $11.30 total. I also asked about the 7-1/4" x 48 Freud blade but they do not carry them, so I went to Home Depot and picked one up $39.95 it doesn't seem right same price for a 7-1/4" blade as a 14". I am getting cabin fever real bad and I want to start on a new set of trailer ramps and I don't want to use the chop saw in the garage so I thought I could get started with the dry cut saw. Thanks againScott
