My Miller Dialarc sits on a custom cart made of angle that came with the machine when i bought it used. I would like to add a small platform to the cart to hold my Argon cylinder. If I were to weld on the cart, would I risk damaging the machine in any way?Miller Dialarc 250 AC/DCWeldcraft A-150VSmith O/P
Reply:Could you remove the welder from the cart for welding and put it back again when you finish? Also if you plan on painting your platform after installing it.. chances are you will end up messing the original paint job of the welder. Better take the whole thing appart!
Reply:I don't see a problem other then possibly having sparks go all over. A welding blanket would help or a piece of sheetmetal bent in a 90 to shield the corners. Your not gonna need need much weld to attach it depending on your design.Maybe post a picture. If you have room bolting it on maybe a option too.
Reply:Be sure to move the rear cart wheels back under the bottle so it won't be "tipsy".
