Reply:Interesting pulser, never seen that model.  I cannot read the dials, what does label below each dial read?Just so you know, this unit is very likely adaptable to various different welding machines other than Hobart.  If you would open up the unit and see what the resistance value on the current control potentiometers is, this would help determine what various welding power supplies this would be compatible with.  For example, my Thermal Arc power supply works with a 10K ohm pot in the foot control, so I was able to use an ESAB pulser with 10K ohm current control pots.Also, as with my ESAB pulser, it appears that this unit connects to the remote connector on the welder, and then the foot control connects to the 19 pin connector on the pulser.  I don't know why the unit has a separate 6 pin connector.  If anyone can find the manual showing the pin connections, this could probably be adapted to a non-Hobart welder.Last edited by pulser; 10-29-2009 at 09:14 AM.
Reply:Thank you for the followup information pulser.Knobs are labeled as follows.Top two knobs from the left are for adjusting peak values.Time  0 - 100%Weld Current  0 - 100% The lower two knobs from the left are for adjusting background values.Time  0 - 100%% Weld Current  0 - 100%Right side has three selections top to bottom.First switch has three options top to bottom: Pulse On, Pulse Off, Pendant Off.Second has two options: Pendant, RemoteThird switch has three options top to bottom:  SLOW 100ms-1sec, MED 10ms-100ms, FAST 1ms-10ms.I opened the unit and checked the pot on the Main current, it is 10K ohm.

Reply:That's the pulse unit sold for the Hobart "Arc Master" multi process machines. A call from your LWS to Miller will get you the answer "is it for mig, tig or both". It may adapt to the Miller "Invision" machines also (I don't know). You could get silly money wrapped up in the Hobart Arc-Masters as well as the Mega-Mig with Mega-Con feeders.Matt
