extended warranty

I'm getting ready to purchase a pm215 or pm255 this week and was wondering if I should be considering the extra 2 year warranty.My 175+ never had a problem, should I expect the same with these 2 machines under occasional use?
Reply:Depends on if you're the gambling type or not. Like any insurance they sell it because they make money. Odds are in their favor the warranty is a non-issue and they made a few bucks.

Reply:A waste of money, in my opinion.  Any problem should crop up in the first 3 years while under the factory warranty.WeldingWeb forum--now more sophomoric banter than anything else!
