got another job lined up, not yet sure how to ask for a couple months "off" from real work. . . .. . . .just have to remember im another "at will" employee.meeting is next week, dont worry, im not getting myself into trouble per-say: working hourly, so no real liabilities. . . . .but how to ask for time off? i have the opportunity to at least triple my wage, and i have the means to excell, but this is going to push my full-time employer to the brink i fear unless i re-negotiate as part-time, which im not quite ready for as this one big-high-dollar job is only temporary.money frustrates me. i want the most, and i want to get rid of my floaties, but i wonder if the "deep end" might have swift undercurrents that will sink me.you business owners and rig-hands truly have my admiration. big, scary world out there past the company contracts. . . .  .bosses stuff:trailblazer 325maxstar 200my stuff:sa 200fronius transpocket 180100 amp Lincoln w/f97 f350 DITKevin
Reply:92dlxmanI - internationally-boomed for a decade - my abroad-work only made me more qualified, and employable.Don't worry about returning to your old job - your gained experience may render it moot.  Possibly, they may 'beg-you-back', because of what you have learned. If not - with what your have gained - you may not want to return. It is better: to move and learn large - than to be static and learn nothing . . .Opus

Reply:thanks for the advice guys!!!!im excited, i worked for these folks once before and it was great, but that was just 18 hrs worth and they made it well worth my time. this time sounds a bit challenging. dual containment; phase 1 is underground , and i hate doing underground with diggers that i dont know. i especially hate doing double wall. but, its all in a days work.well, i spent today at a wastewater plant demoing and re-routing stainless to temporary pvc, and eventually stainless again. maybe double wall carbon in a ditch isn't so bad. . . . .bosses stuff:trailblazer 325maxstar 200my stuff:sa 200fronius transpocket 180100 amp Lincoln w/f97 f350 DITKevin
