Reply:nrhmarine7The bad news:Never disclose the economy of your value.Your design and aesthetics define your market. You can go to a Big Box Weld Shop, and literally see samples on the wall with price/per/foot.  That product is destined to: commercial and residential schlock, preferred by developers  =  low-buck. Price/per/foot is only relevant if you are competing with others doing the same thing as you.If you are an aspiring designer/builder; quantification of price/per/foot, is a factor only you can determine, based on your own work.   Its utility would be for course field estimates, specific to your own style. The good news:Art Nouveau is good - Scrolls are Crap.In your 'Palm' series, your dendrites appear to have formed tendrils.  This is good - depth of section. The arch-gate scroll-thing with spears - paint it all green, and hide it in the grass. The really bad news:In your market: with your design faculties, your 'Palm [series] Gate' is really a $5000.00 gate. It's not a 5G gate because it is hack MIG welded. In appreciation: of your design effort, and execution; there should be no visible welds, or dressing divots. The remedy - learn TIG tomorrow - and study joinery. A TIG welded product takes the same amount of time, but the result is worth more.Opus.Last edited by OPUS FERRO; 02-27-2014 at 02:41 AM.Reason: is wasn't is

Reply:We did this custom order for a 50th birthday present for her husband, we built and delivered for less than $1,400.00. We did not install it, as that's not part of our business but customer, her husband and apparently all their neighbors love the gate. lol
