Reply:It's always great to see a well equipped high school metal work shop. You don't see that in the city anymore.I love the logo on the box. It's what makes the pipeliners so damn prideful, have to fight the rep on almost every job.life is good

Reply:Thank you everyone. We have a well equip metal shop at my school thanks to our FFA and FFA booster club. We have 13 Millermatics, 7 oxy/fuel cutting units 17 Lincoln cracker boxes in the welding booths a 4x4 plasma table along with 3 hypotherm plasma cutters 2 dake cold saws 50ton iron worker. and my personal favorite the 5ton shop hoist. Its really nice to have all the equipment to tackle any job you may come across. The other schools in our area come to county show with 3-4 projects and we had over 20 this year. We usually build a trailer every year allong with a large number of smaller projects but i decided to build something of my own this year and take it to Houston show and county.
Reply:Great job!! It's really great to see kids working with their hands and learning a trade. Keep up the good work and be sure and post more photos as your work progresses.Nice work!It is a shame that supposedly grown men cannot even type on a public forum with out including cuss words. They do not have the common courtesy to control their tongue or fingers.
Reply:Great thing to see!Sorry...No beer smiley for you yet so you get one of these...And they don't come easy.Good to see you young guys so involved in this trade...But be warned..There is NO glamor in this at all....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.

Reply:Love the bed! Yourself and Zack (Spooled05) have inspired me..... I think I'm gonna build a bed for my truck. When I was in school we built a trailer and sold it for the class income for more tools and supplies, also fixed and repaired Excavator Buckets. Some Blue , Some Red & Some GreyProverbs 16:2-3.2 "All a persons ways seem pure to them, but motives are weighed by the Lord. 3 Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans."
Reply:Very nice work Taylor! What project did you take to Houston and how did it do? Give us some more pictures if you want!FFA and 4-H are excellent programs for our young men and women. Thanks to the teachers and all of the volunteers who make these programs work! Taylor and his classmates are proof that the efforts are worth it.

Reply:I think I'm going to sell it so I have money for my next project. What is a reasonable price I could expect to get?
Reply:Let me be the first to offer condolences if someone you care about was hurt in that tragedy in Paris.Right now I see a lot of pipeliner rigs running around north Texas because of all the gas lines being installed. There seems to be a lot of work so I would guess the demand for a bed like yours should be high. An off the cuff estimate would be at least $8,000.00 to $12,000.00 for a bed that nice for someone making a lot of money and wanting to make a statement.Wylie High School has a similarly equipped welding shop. I can remember back in the very early nineties when Plano ISD was selling off their welding shop equipment. I picked up some pretty good deals on their sealed bid sales. The best one dollar wise was a ten station oxy/gas set up including Victor 100 torches and all the fire bricks for a total of $25.00 I kept a couple of torches and donated the rest to Wylie ISD.life is goodtaylor; if that's your high school project you're going to go far in this business. that would be a great build from someone with many years of fabbing experience. i like the cut-outs on the tool box. we need more young people like you in this country!i.u.o.e. # 15queens, ny and sunny fla
