Have an old welder at work:For some reason I seem to recall i being a 1953. Anyways has continuous current and voltage control (to 250 amps and 60v I think). Runs on 480v- 3 phaseAnyways, can anyone tell me anything about it? Is it worth anything to anyone? We have an inverter machine now and shopspace is at a premium- so I'm half inclined to sell it for scrap, but I don't want to squish some old gem that has some sort of value. Thanks guys!
Reply:Great machines. Loud, but great. Worth a little to someone that has 480 3 phase available and needs a DC machine that will run forever and has great arc. Maybe even worth more than the scrap value.
Reply:A friend of mine has two of those and we built a 10 x20x4 stainless tank with it using tig.  It can also be wired to 240 3ph.  If i owned a shop I'd buy it in a minute.  Ive seen them on ebay for $300.00
Reply:See lots of em for sale. There is a lot of 10 on ebayTwo styles of these a lay down and stand up like yours. If web surfing memory serves correct the stand up wereused a lot in ships due the narrow passages/walkways.Keep it The copper alone will double in value sooner than you think.just my 02c worth..ASE master auto tech.lincoln sa-200lincoln 225 (gas/onan power)Miller dialarc 250Century 105 wire feed.Airco 185 busy bee A/C
