Reply:I practically rebuilt this welder and documented it on here, so the answer to your question is, yes it works fine, it runs and welds really sweet!Its a 1991 model 225 G7 with a P216 Onan with oil filter and it has a CV tapNot sure of actual hours originally, it did not come with an hour meter, but after doing all that I did to this welder, and as good of condition the motor was in to start with, I would have to say it was low, maybe in the 600 hour range or less!Heres another add that I just put up with a lower price!http://fortwayne.craigslist.org/tls/1800797002.htmlAnd heres a few larger pictures, Attached ImagesLast edited by Ken Dennis; 06-19-2010 at 06:56 PM.#1. Reply:I am new on this site and didn't see your writeup.  I checked FedEx freight rates and it would cost me between $800 and $1200 for shipping.  I used a 1990 or 1991 at a fence company.  Good basic machine.  Shipping it to California is the problem.  Maybe Conway or ABF would be a little cheaper for a 30" wide by 48" long pallet.  Any ideas?  The price is fair, I would just need to find a cheaper shipping method.Last edited by deafman; 06-20-2010 at 08:59 AM.
Reply:Freight companies also make a distinction between commercial addresses and home addresses for delivery .....   commercial is cheaper ... the assumption is of course that somebody will be there during normal business hours, and a liftgate isn't required (either a forklift or loading dock is available).

Reply:I had an 800# pallet, shipped from NY to me here in California, about two or three years ago.  I don't remember the actual number, but it was three-something.   Definitely under $400.   Since I am mostly portable, not always here, I specified a delivery address to another business in town, who was more than happy to offload the delivery truck and load onto my own truck.  If Deafman wants me to make similar arrangements, I would be happy to do so, I would even bring it here so he can pick it up at his own convenience.   Just be sure you pay the seller complete, beforehand, item plus shipping, seller pre-pays shipping, it's cheaper, plus, I have no wish to deal with COD, even with my own transactions.

Reply:I am glad yall posted this thread.  I have always wanted a couple things shipped and have never pulled the trigger due to not knowing the different shipping avenues for shipping.  I have called companies and they have always gave me high quotes thus busting my plans.  Ken, I hope you get everything sold.
