Spoolgun on Lincoln 170T

Hello,I have been using my Lincoln MIG 170 with the Aluminum adapter kit for doing some fabrication on my duck boat. It is always a liitle frustrating using this set-up. I just saw a Magnum®100SG Spool gun kit that can be used on a Lincoln 180. Has anyone on this forum tried to use this kit on a Lincoln 170? I want something that I can use to crawl around with for the small interior welds for blind brackets and such.Thanks
