My daughter has been bugging me for two weeks to let her weld again, but work was getting in the way. Today we made time and laid down some beads. This is just her second try at it, and the first try didn't last more than 10 minutes or so. I think she is progressing quite nicely. She is no longer afraid of the sparks and she commented that she likes that she can see the metal "get all liquidy" So I think she is clearly seeing the puddle. We are working on making her stickout and travel speed more consistent. Miller Multimatic 255
Reply:I think that's cool. Start them out young, they soak it up like sponges. I wish my daughters had taken more of in interest in joining me in woodworking or metalworking, but alas they found boys.
Reply:She's doing great! Wish my beads were as straight as hers!!!!
Reply:Maybe when she gets older she will find a boy who likes shooting, hunting, woodworking, and welding....all the things she currently does with dad. If not, we will have to discuss her taste in beaus...Miller Multimatic 255
Reply:Center one lower pict looks very nice. Could use a tad more heat on the settings possibly. Lower one on that looks pretty good too.Now start thinking about projects she can do, Yard art, gifts for family and friends... Girls love horses. Horseshoe anything will be a HUGE hit. Plenty of projects here in the past for shelf brackets, coat hooks, and so on. Tractor Supply sells shoes or you can order ones from farriers supplies on line. A couple bucks in shoes and you'd think you just bought a 16 year old a Lambo as their 1st car... .No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:Nice thing about store-bought horseshoes....YOU DON'T HAVE TO CLEAN THEM UP!!! I occasionally do some shoe stuff for friends and it takes longer to clean up the old shoes than it does to make the project!
Reply:Yeah but if they come with the horse still attached dad would be set for life... .No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear.
