Reply:Call lincoln, they have a guy just for gas driven welders. He knows his stuff.DavidReal world weldin. When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
Reply:That may be a mode switch problem, if it only happens in CC Stick mode. Some older models will default to CC-Stick if the mode switch is unplugged from the control PC board. That's an easy test for a grounded or tracking mode switch. It could also be a number of other things, like long and coiled cables, poor welding cable connections (If the preset amps are steady). Bad potentiometers if more than CC stick mode is giving problems. More details about the problem would be helpful.Good Luck,Bob
Reply:Look for simple things first. My TB wavered a bit when I had a bad ground cable. Loose wires, bad connections, bad switches, loose fittings are easy fixes and very hard for techs to track down over the phone. When the simple stuff has been eliminated, then the bigger items will come into play. I was recently reminded of this when we were working with Miller tech trying to track down my voltage problem. The bad cable threw us for a loop until we found it.
Reply:thanks guys I'll check my connections first used it today and it didn't do it so I'll start with the basics first |
