Does anybody own or worked off of one of these, and what are your thoughts on the titled machine? What did you use it for?Reason being (alongside my sawmill post, or any other use!) I'm working towards putting my own portable rig together! I was looking at investing into this machine as a starter field rig when I have the cash (gotta love bills...paying off my 3/4 ton truck...boozles...etc! All that fun stuff!)Regardless, the link to what I've been dreaming about the past month or so!http://www.mylincolnelectric.com/Cat...et.asp?p=45351Man, so many questions...better to ask, than not to ask I guess!
Reply:I have the ranger 250 with the kohler. Awesome machine. A couple of times I could have used the 305, but I didn't NEED it. Chopper technology is great. You will love it.Real world weldin. When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
Reply:I have been upgrading alot of my equipment over the past months, and the 305G is one of the machines I was planning on purchasing. Keep in mind there is no AC welding output if you will need it. The first machine I purchased was a Ranger GXT strictly because on my welding trailer we needed the AC output to use for tigging aluminum, and the 250 and 305 did not have it. I have used a 305G several times, and will be purchasing one myself for my welding truck as soon as I can sell one of my other machines.. I thought it was an awesome machine. I don't think you would be going wrong. ~JacksonI'm a Lover, Fighter, Wild horse Rider, and a pretty good welding man...... |
