Not sure what shipping costs would be on this machine but I would imagine it would have to be shipped by freight? Unless someone knows more than I?Last edited by spiderx; 08-12-2010 at 09:19 PM.

Reply:Not sure how many from my state of PA but I guess its worth a shot. ThanksI was also willing to pay shipping since craigslist in my area has none listed. I came up short on all other avenues as well. They sell quick.
Reply:go to www.searchtempest.com and enter your zip code, and Thunderbolt welder. I found them from $100-400 in Pa.A nice AC/DC will cost $300-$450 around Georgia, depending on the age of the welder.Good luck.Burt _____________________Miller Syncrowave 250Millermatic 211Miller 375 Plasma Cutter Hobart Handler 12010FtDrillBit.com

Reply:wow thanks guys for the help. wb4rt I checked and the only one I found is on ebay in ME and local pickup only. I think I found him the other day and emailed asking if he would consider shipping and didnt get a reply back. Thanks AMC724 I havent tried that one yet. Will do thoughTurk That $50 unit I seen around somewhere in my searches the past few days. I think I sent an email but not sure if it went thru. I remember getting some emails back stating post delivery service undeliverable or something. Maybe Ill try calling tomorrow. Im kinda hesitant on calling though. Would love pics. AH I stand corrected u have listed email with errors. I am assuming he doesnt have email and a friend listed it. $50 for it and no pics kinda hesitant on it. :/ Not sure what to expect. But I do remember emailing him. lol!The horsham pa one I havent seen before. THank you. Im going to definitely contact that one.I have been talkin to a few welders and they say this is a great stick welder. Which is what Im looking for. They also tell me I can use it as a tig but only scratch start and they say it works decent for it but has a hard time tiggin automotive sheet panels. Anyone have any experience and know why it would have a hard time with sheet metal? I heard them say it was blowin thru and too hot for it. Not that I need a tig but wanted to know more about what I heard.Last edited by spiderx; 08-15-2010 at 04:52 AM.

Reply:Originally Posted by spiderxlmao. kool Much thanks for the information. I heard it could go to 30amps but wasnt sure what other tigs were capable of going to. All you said makes much more sense to me now.Would have loved to watch that razor blade get tigged. lol! Thats hilarious.
Reply:Ah yea I never messed with tig before. I am new to the scene as well. Sounds interesting though and never would have though of doing it. I do know from readin alot about welding that you need a ac machine to tig aluminum. Wish they would make a cheap affordable machine with ac/dc to do all of it. I could only dream of a name brand unit. lol! |
