I see this on ebay,my ? is has any body tried this? where can i get the hf box? Reply:Go to a "chain store", Airgas, S.J.Smith, etc. Have them look in their database, lot of times the it's only way to find stuff stuck away on dealers shelves. The national chains have complete company inventory lists normally.Anything worth doing is worth doing RIGHT
Reply:You can buy the old Lincoln hi-freq box for 125.00. The later one in the picture would probably be more like 300 to 400 used. Here is why you may not want to go this route (I am guessing your real goal is aluminum).     Your Lincoln AC side is too small for realistic work since you should lower rating for ac tig because of the rectification effect of oxide layer on aluminum causing dc current to flow in transformer and you don't have a lot of capacity to start with.     Your torch is always 'hot' - very aggravating.      You cannot adjust your welding current remotely - aggravating again.     After it is all said and done, you can buy a real tig many places from 'dirt cheap' right up thru lower than reasonable. The real money only occurs in the newer Miller, Lincoln, Esab, etc. Lastly, don't be intimidated by size - if you can run that little Lincoln, you can run a big boy machine, and they weld like a dream. Make clark-kentski one happy welder fellow. Worked for me for years. weldersales
