I don't think this thread exists, so excuse me if I just suck at searching. I don't have anything to contribute right now but I love looking at what you guys build!

Reply:Really like that gate work, was just looking at another thread of a guy building cattle gates.
Reply:I'm an inventor because I can weld. One of my proudest achievements was a simple fence panel.  The reason I'm so proud of it is because all of my engineer buds said I could not do it. I not only designed the tooling to make it.  I figured out how to replicate it so that it could be produced for thousands of feet of fence that would be installed by others with no welding on site, bolt up.http://harveylacey.com/wordpress/?p=161The job was for a university and it was never funded.  I still have the fence sample and smile every night when I back the truck up to it.life is good
Reply:I helped a friend build this V- blade for an excavator. I wish I could have seen the machine this will go on. This blade is 11' wide 6'-6" tall 4' deep and roughly weighs 4500lbs  without the hook up. Attached Images

Reply:Zap, that is the first thing of yours I saw long ago. There was a guy on metalmeet building (I think) a 1940 Ford before the site crashed and it was gorgeous. Riddler level quality, no lie. I found both of yalls work about the same time as each other and couldn't get enough.
Reply:in almost 45 years of welding it's hard to pick out one project. off hand i'd say this one. about 30 2" moment plates and a couple dozen heavy column splices with not one cutout after 100% ultrasound. Attached Imagesi.u.o.e. # 15queens, ny and sunny fla
Reply:This one is one that I think went well and that I have pics of. Reply:This was 5 1/2 months of tedium. But the finished product is fun to burn things with. All that I have to do is build an egg for him to be bursting out of and he is done.
Reply:Ive only been welding about a year an half but this is deff mine. Its a water filled hopper for dumping fish into and then the conveyor takes them away. All stainless steel construction and tigwelded inside and out.
Reply:Sorry for the rotatated pics posted this off my iphone and its done that automatically..
