Here are my welding tables I made as a project in welding class. They are to similar to the Miller Arc Station. They are made of 2"x2"x1/8" square tubing, 2"x1/2" channel, 30"x30"x3/8" plate (one top has the X pattern cut in. Attached Images
Reply:I like the two table idea, looks good.

Reply:Love the idea for the levelers for the feet!I just cut out a few 1/8" plates to weld to the bottom feet like you did. Do you need to go pretty low voltage to weld the nuts on? I'm worried I will warp them.
Reply:My table is 16 feet long and I used blade bolts for a bush hog because they have a big flat head. You should be ok to weld the nuts without worry. Just do it without the bolts in. Reply:You could use weld nuts. They take almost no heat to burn on for non critical application.  Very low risk of warping. Nice work on the tables. Sent from my SPH-L900 using TapatalkMultimatic 200Ellis 1800Haberle S225 9" cold sawMM 300;  Spoolmate 30A w/ WC-24TB 302GDynasty 280 DX Tigrunner
Reply:I welded nuts on the underside of those plates. the nuts you see are just to tighten when its level.I have also made a vise mount for them. Thats why the corners are open.

Reply:I put a bolt and tightened 2 nuts against the plate and welded
Reply:Looking for ideas for when I want to conjoin them as one table.
Reply:Those are fine looking tables...well thought out and executed. For you guys considering using his leveling feet idea, if your tables are larger and you expect to load them with heavy work pieces, then consider using hex barrel nuts for the captive welded nuts inside the legs ... They have much more thread engagement and less likely to strip when really loaded.
Reply:That is what I did.
Reply:Nice simple and effective. Good one.
Reply:how thick is the table top
