Hi, I havnt found many reviews on the NEW Miller TB 275 and would like yalls opinionThanks
Reply:Hey hotshot01, I think you're going to find that pretty much whatever you find on the base model 325 is going to also apply to the 275.  In other words, you can't get EFI or Excel power with the 275, both of which I have on my 325.  You still have the auto-speed doohickey which will idle the engine down after the weld has started, so it only uses however much fuel is necessary.  As compared to the older TB's like my 302 which run wide open for any weld output level.I would expect the 275 would make a good, basic, no-frills machine, but I would also expect its main buyers are large corporations who are buying based on cost.  If I were looking for another of the new TB's, I'd buy one just like the one I already have - a 325 with Excel and EFI.  Although gas is fairly cheap these days I don't expect it to remain so, and IMO these options are money in the bank in the long run.  Ask me in 10 years and I'll let you know if I was right.
Reply:Well Im trying to save on money for right now and I've been looking for a bobcat 225/250 and with all the reviews I've read I felt that that isn't what I want for my side business so I found a trailblazer 275 new with leads for 4680.00. I understand the excel doesn't come with that but I just want somthing I can run a good stick/TIG bead with for now as this isn't my primary means of $$$.I'm not a welder (anymore) I work 4 on 4 off now and I would like to do somthing I love and miss on my off days is all. Im just looking for weld quality
Reply:@ hotshot1 - donde estas?  Where are you located?  Seen mint-condition, late model, low hrs, Bobcats for $1.8-2.3k on CL.Last edited by ManoKai; 08-19-2015 at 05:28 PM."Discovery is to see what everybody else has seen, and to think what nobody else has thought" - Albert Szent-Gyorgyi

Reply:Whether it's a TB275 or 325, you will not be disappointed with the arc characteristics. I wont even look at bobcats anymore. Even as a general purpose repair welder. And you don't have to keep changing the fine current control to run a big grinder, then put it back to your weld setting.
Reply:@ hotshot01 - my bad. Read your thread as wanting a Bobcat vice a Trailazer.  A  used, mint condition, low hr TB will probably cost you in the $3-3.5k range."Discovery is to see what everybody else has seen, and to think what nobody else has thought" - Albert Szent-Gyorgyi
Reply:I priced a new TB325 EFI with excel power at Praxair the other day for giggles, it was $5200. Does that sound about right for other vendors?  If I was in the market for a small engine drive I think that's the way I would go. For my hobby welding I think my old Redface will do meSent from my iPad using TapatalkSteveLincoln IdealArc 250Lincoln SA200 1966 RedfaceSteveMiller Dialarc 250 (1990)Miller Maxstar 140 STR (2003)Lincoln SA200 Redface Pipeliner (1966)Lincoln MP210 (2015)Victor and MECO torches
