I inherited this welder and just got power to it. It does have spark and welds somewhat. The wire feed starts out real slow for about 3 sec. then kicks in at the set feed rate is this the norm?
Reply:That sounds almost normal to me. I think this machine has a slow run-in feature. Check the manual, you can often change this setting to fast run-in.If this is what is going on, the wire feed will start out slow, then switch to fast when it senses that an arc has been struck, or after a set time.Cheers,Bob
Reply:Thank you Bobc, You got it right! I went to Lincoln site and downloaded the manual. Sure enough you can set the start feed mode holding the gun trigger and turning on the power, either slow feed start or fast feed start. I am sure I will have more questions as I get it running! Thanks again!!! |
