I went to use my old Lincoln 300/300 and the High Frequency start didn't work. I was welding mild steel and it will weld if I scratched the surface with the electrode. Does anyone have any ideas to check if I pull the cover off the machine? Thanks
Reply:Go to Lincoln's web site and download the manual. It should tell you how to set the gap, and clean the contacts on the HF generator, they are usually just full of dust.Disclaimer; "I am just an a$$hole welder, don't take it personally ."
Reply:I have the manual and I clean and reset the gap, but still no HF. Any ideas on trouble shoot this, or isolating the problem?ThanksMark
