Reply:That thing is going to be able to support more weight than you can safely drive down the road with when completed. So don't try to load it to it's maximum capacity, or you may roll the truck over. I built mine with 1.25x1.25x0.125 square tubing and it will probably be able to do the same if put on a dually 1 ton. Mine is 13.5', for an extended cab 3/4 ton, 8' bed. Are you going to have a removable rear cross bar?
