Cant get around my whole Garage with my Harbor Frieght Mig. Seeing as how I havent had the chance to install my second 220 outlet. Even if I do I cant reach everything I want. Where Can I get a longer gun/ground cable I can throw on them? Or should I just fab a longer cable to plug into the wall?"The credit goes to the man who's actually in the arena..."

Reply:I don't see the need to reach everyplace in the garage with the gun, unless you are still welding the metal  frame of a new building that is to become the garage.Be aware that stray sparks can and will get into every  crack in a wall, into every pile of rags, into anything that's flammable, so it is often best to do your welding in the middle of a cleared area.

Reply:If you MIG has a separate power source and feeder... you can always get longer conections for those units... and keeping the power source static, move only the wire feeder. That way you can get arround the problems mentioned by weldbead because the lenght of the mig gun stays the same.Mikel
