Had some good garage time this weekend, figured I'd share what I was up to.Made a stand for my chinese porta-band, can't figure out why I didn't do it sooner! This really makes cutting a lot of smaller more precise parts much easier! I also find it helps me cut a little more square! I'm running out of wall and drawer space in the shop, so instead of a true stand, I thought I could use my vise to hold the saw. It worked out well. Also made a little tripod for my trail-cam. In the off-season I like to put it in the backyard to see whats running around, and the wife likes to see whats digging up here flowers.... Shown with a normal camera, but you get the point! Also made a little tray out of .060" 308 sheet to keep the mess from the pepper mill getting all over the table and counter. The aforementioned wife is a little leery of home-made kitchen accessories but I actually got her to admit she likes it! I bent it up in the old Record #5 "brake" then fusion welded the edges with a #9 torch and 1\16 ceriated electrode. And just now I finished up a pair of electrode/filler holders. 4"X1" flat bar cut into squares and some 2" .125" wall tube 7" long. Nice and heavy so they won't go anywhere! Thanks for looking guys!
