Hey Guys i hope your all well and earning mega dollars!!I have an issue with an NDT magnetic Yoke i bought cheap here in the UK. However its not complete, its a 12v portable model see the pics belowBut it should be partnered up with a portable power pack like this one from the Parker website  http://www.parkerndt.com/bac310.htmHowever i'm not 100% sure by reading that if you charge the 12v battery does it output 115v as there is an inverter built in so i'm guessing that from 12v DC it runs the device at 115v ACNow this will probably save me money but if thats the case then i could run the yoke on 110v AC supply that we use on UK Building sites, i wouldn't need a 12 v battery inverted up to 115v, or the power pack as a whole. But the only thing thats stoping me from sticking a 110v AC plug on the end as opposed to a car cigar lighter type socket is the fact that its got 12v and DC stamped on the side of the spec plate, and a 12 v cigar lighter plug?? Can anyone shed some light on this??This next bit comes from their page on this power pack  with the Parker BAC-310:Stand alone A.C. power for Parker A.C. yokes.On-the-spot 115VAC power – independent of any outside power source.Totally portable for shop or field applications.Provides compliance with applicable specifications.
Reply:Have you tried plugging the yoke into a cigar lighter to see if it works?
Reply:What does the plug look like?Call Parker or send an email. They should have cert paper work if you will need that and can provide information based on the serial number and model number. If you do not know much about MT, a DC yoke should lift a 40 lb weight with a 6 inch leg spacing and 10 lb weight with the same leg spacing for an AC yoke. This is a typical calibration test to ensure the yoke is functioning properly. Anyway, what will you be using the yoke for?
Reply:Ok Guys thanks for your replies, sorry for the delay in getting back to you, been busy working!@Sharon Needles, yes the yoke works fine with a cigar lighter in the car, so now i need to get a smaller 12v battery 20Ah and a charger that can charge it from either 240v AC or 110V AC (In the UK we use 240v in the home and 110v on worksites)I was thinking of getting something like this to charge up the battery http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2515981425...%3AMEBIDX%3AITand the battery like the ones they have in the Parker pack http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3609598728...%3AMEBIDX%3AITWith those two i can buy a waterproof plastic case and make a mains cable connector as well as adding a cigar lighter to the case. That would be the basis of my power pack for around $100 instead of the $620 so i'm hoping that will work??
