Hello all, long time lurker here and this is my first post.I bought a 1953 Hobart simplified arc welding machine for the farm. It has the chrysler flathead 6 cylinder and runs like a top. My only problem is I have no manual for the machine and have no reference as to the general settings of the machine. It has a wheel with markings from 1-10 and a smaller wheel inside for fine arc settings. Does anyone have a rule of thumb for the major amperage settings on the large wheel market (1-10)? By the way, this is a 300 amp machine. Thanks in advance.Scott |
