need help with miller 350p

My neighbor bought a used miller 350p. He is frustrated with this machine because when he turns it on the led screen powers up and you can hear the machine humming. It doesn't matter if he starts welding or just lets it sit there, soon it will turn the led screen off but the machine is still making noise like it is ready for welding. The screen will be off just like someone flipped the switch to power if off. I would appreciate any advise if someone has been through this before..

Reply:Even though sometimes it welds for say like 5 min the just turns the led screen off and machine is still running? And when you pull the trigger nothing happens?Thanks for the thoughts and input.
