Greetings all,A local pawn shop has a 135 in very good condition.  It looks new to me.  It's obviously a tapped model.  It says 135 on the front panel.I decided to do a little research before buying.   In my research all I can find is a 120V model.  But I seem to recall clearly that this one had a 240V power cord.  Did Lincoln make a 135 in a 240V model?  BTW, they wanted $300 for it.  Thanks.
Reply:Does it have the regulators with it? Will they let you do a test drive?
Reply:You should be able to get it a lot cheaper.  135 mig at 220v seems rare.  I wouldn't think it would be popular.  It is not worth $300 if it is 220v only.  I say not worth $300, only because I think it could be had for cheaper or something (120v) else for not much more.  Around here pawn shop 220v welder go for cheap because people can't hook them up.  Are you sure it is not dual voltage?  No other markings?  Perhaps it was a 30 amp 110 cord.Last edited by tapwelder; 03-15-2008 at 02:43 PM.
Reply:If it is a 135 amp with a 220 cord it is more than likely a Harbor freight type MIG.....some of the older ones made in Italy have gotten good reviews.....Mike
Reply:84zmike, I wasn't clear in my post as I was in a hurry to get out the door.  It says Lincoln 135 on it.  It is the tapped model.  It seemed odd to me after doing a little research, that it has a 220/240V power cord.  Sandy, yes, regulators come with it and I'm pretty sure I can test drive it though I didn't ask.It wouldn't suprise me if it is overpriced.  This particular pawn shop prices nearly all of their stuff much higher than I'm willing to pay.  Although, I find a bargain there occasionally.Tapwelder, I'm not sure about the dual voltage.  I didn't spend much time looking at it after I was told it was $300.  But started getting curious about after doing some Internet searches on the Lincoln 135.  I was trying to get a feel for what it was worth. Thanks for the replies all.
Reply:I'm not positive but I think when Lincoln first brought out the Weldpaks that the 135 was 220 V. I bought the 100 because it was 110 V and I wanted to carry it around and use an extension cord. I am pretty sure they only made the two models for a while. I gripped to the LWS about how much mine splattered with flux cored wire. He told me I should have bought the 220V model because it splattered a lot less.

Reply:Oldtimer, maybe that's it and that would be good if that's the case.  I'll visit the store again Tuesday and inspect it, the cable, gun and drive.  I'll post again if there is anything interesting to report.I appreciate all the the help and information.
