Looking for a specific stainless fitting

I am making a plug for 2" schedule 10 stainless purging. I plan on taking some 1/8" SS sheet cutting it to the OD of the stainless pipe and putting a fitting to where I can slide an old tig rig argon line over the fitting. Then just taping around the OD of the sheet metal. I need a fitting that has an OD of 1/8", that's the ID of my argon hose that came off my old 2 piece tig rig cable. Can someone help me locate this fitting if it even exists.Miller Maxstar 200 SDPiperliner #10 Gold
Reply:If you aren't having to deal with an over-abundance of heat you can simply purchase a plumbing expansion plug and then drill and tap it with the necessary fitting to accommodate your purge gas. Best regards, Allanaevald

Reply:We cut cardboard to match OD and stick tubing or hose through center of  it and tape.

Reply:A Barb fitting is what your looking for. The hose slips on over the barbs to seal the hose to the fitting. You can get them with 1/8 and larger npt.
Reply:If you know anyone with a lathe, you could purchase the expansion plug that I spoke of and have a hole drilled through the center of the bolt and then have them turn the end of the bolt back and down to allow for your rubber hose to slip over and seal to it. I'm sure that you'll come up with a relatively simple fix. Often it's just a matter of what's available, who you know, and how much time and effort you care to put into it. Best regards, Allanaevald

Reply:Sounds like you've got it dialed in. So long as it works, that's what counts. I am often guilty of "McGuivering" something with the intent of coming back to it later on and coming up with something more permanent, just doesn't always work that way. Best regards, Allanaevald
Reply:Dorman makes an adjustable rubber expansion plug for engine blocks. (Freeze Plug). It would be simple to  drill and put hose through the plug off center from the screw in the middle . A lot of different sizes are available so you could make up a set of different sizes.
