SAE-300 info.

I just bought a SAE-300  with a f227 Continental flat head engine.  If anyone has any information about a possible date of the welder I would greatly appreciate it.  The code number is: 7801 Serial number is A- 852021.  If anyone has this kind of machine, what grade of oil does it take?  Thanks for any help.  --Tye
