Hello,Good afternoon. I'm working with the Career & Technical Education department at Texas School for the Deaf. We are looking into modernizing our welding classes and its facility. I'd like to know if there is any special safety codes out there that we could use to justify our welding facility improvements/renovations. Are there any kind of safety or venting guidelines? I searched AWS website but didn't find anything. If someone could point me in the right direction - it would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
Reply:29 CFR, Standard 1926.253, for starters. You will also need to consult the related ADA standards to ensure you address the disability related protocols for the hearing impaired. Reply:ANSI Z49.1 has a lot of info, Also AWS F2.3 for the transparent curtainsExperience is something you get right after you need it
