can anyone suggest any other manufactures of suitcase style welders with a proven tack record in addition to the ln25 and vs12?
Reply:hobart heftyI have seen thermal arc with hefty, but I don't know if it is the same as the older hobart.  I also don't know if it is any good either.i would be proud to own either of the ln25 or the 12vs

Reply:thank you soutthpaw....is the price in line with the 12vs and ln25? did you find yours new or used? i like the pelican style cases the 12vs and digital readouts it has,i think yours has pelican style as well? how long have you been operating it and any quirks or problems with it? how much did you sell your ln25 for, i think im looking more on the used side than new at this point unless a screaming deal comes along....which is always possible the way the economy is going.
Reply:Used, a Miller Super S-32P feeder is very similar to the 12 VS. They come with and without analog gauges. I got mine for about $600 or so a few years ago..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear.
