Reply:M17 is not one of the defined M-codes in the NIST RS-274-NGC G-Code language, so that means it is a function specific to that machine/manufacturer.Unfortunately, Burny won't allow you to download any technical documents from their site without filling out a form and faxing it to them. I mean, seriously, fax? What is this, the 80s? I guess that's what happens when you buy closed/proprietary systems...Anyway, I found a manual for a Burny 2.5 : http://www.coe.montana.edu/met/facul...AO-73290AA.pdfIt lists M14 as the code to disable the height sensor. It is possible that the newer Burnys use the code for the same purpose. Where, and how often, does it appear in the program?Visit Tensaiteki.com
Reply:tenaiteki, thanks, that was kind of what i was thinking of the m14, still not sure, but i think you might have at least put me onto a little more information.... i was thinking the m14 could possibly be being used as a macro call as we were running programs that were already in the controller.. i had never heard of an m14 until today.. the machine we were messing with today was an older esab table (i think) with a burny3 controller that they had retrofitted/updated to a burny phantom controller...tackleexperts.comwww.necessityjigs.comhttps://www.facebook.com/groups/mach...dingequipment/
Reply:If you call Burny's tech service dpartment....have your serial number, they will likely email you the GCode list for your controller. If you cannot get it there, contact me and I will help you get the correct list.Jim Colt Hypertherm [email protected]
