I would like to have some guidelines for the suggested tip sizes used when welding with OA as it relates to the thickness of the metal being welded.. I am sure someone has a guideline chart somewhere..ThanksSam
Reply:Here's on chart. I keep a link to it so I can remember flow rates for acetylene for the different tip sizes. I used to have a link to a much better page, but the site is no longer up.http://dennisalbert.com/Welding/WeldingTipGuide.htm.No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we'll ever see on this earth! Ronald Reagan
Reply:Look up your torch brand. The tip numbers are not the same between brands. Most of the major brands have tip number to metal thickness charts online.
