Hi ... I originally posted this in the intro section but it should have gone here ... Sorry Hi Everyone,I'm a welding student in Canada. I have been reaching out to various manufacturers to see if any of them have a student discount program. Considering the number of schools and classes in Canada, I was surprised to learn that companies generally won't even respond to my initial contact. Students represent a good growth market for manufacturers and a little support will likely generate students who become and remain brand loyal for life. Can anyone direct me to a responsive manufacturer of welding equipment? Does anyone know of any programs available? Maybe the manufacturers are too big to care. I understand but admit to being surprised in light of our ongoing economic performance in Canada. I doubt many industrial suppliers are growing by leaps and bounds.Despite my efforts so far, the red company was the only company to respond and they advised that nothing was available. The blue company didn't respond. The black company didn't respond. Thoughts?
