Nice deal in Milwaukee portable bandsaw and stand trouble cutting al ibeam?

I think I got a great for for 175 for the deep cut saw and stand and legs.  I have wanted one for a very long time but the price was waaay to high.   I was amazed to see how fast it cut some small angle irons.  This will really make cutting metal for me much easier.  I have a really odd piece of about 5" square aluminum ibeam.  I wanted to try to slice it into 1" pieces and maybe make some neat stuff from it.  It started cutting very well but 1/2 way through the blade just bent and finished th cut with a massive mis-angle.   Not sure what I am doing wrong, any ideas what I need to do to help keep it straight?
Reply:The blade likely got loose, or  guide slipped, or the blade gummed up with aluminum. When cutting large pieces of aluminum I always use saw blade lube, or paraffin, or WD-40.

Reply:Another issue is that the milwaukees are kinda heavy so you can't always just lay it on there and let it cut its way through, especially on aluminum. Reply:I think I found a big part of the problem, I didn' realize that there are adjustments on the base for the arm, and they were basically square with the back of the base, but not square with the work clamp which is really what matters, so I made the adjustments and its about 100x better.  I think with a portable you aren't going to have it perfect but it made a big improvement on the squareness of the cuts.  Now if I can just make more space in my tiny workshop for these toys!
