I am looking for WP-26F torch,I saw there are two type, one has back cup and the other has not. What is the back cup used for? gas leak or insulator.thank you!
Reply:No difference at all. It is just the way the different manufacturers get the job done. The 26 series uses the same backcap as the 17 series. The backcaps all use o-rings to seal the gas from leaking through and the main purpose is to lock the tungsten electrode in place.Weld like a "WELDOR", not a wel-"DERR" MillerDynasty700DX,Dynasty350DX4ea,Dynasty200DX,Li ncolnSW200-2ea.,MillerMatic350P,MillerMatic200w/spoolgun,MKCobraMig260,Lincoln SP-170T,PlasmaCam/Hypertherm1250,HFProTig2ea,MigMax1ea.
Reply:Hi shovelonYou are right, I also think O-ring can steal the gas, Sorry I didn't say it clearly.I want to know the red circle area. May I call it back insulator? what is it working for?The same WP-26F but difference design.Last edited by Dry Super; 10-12-2015 at 02:59 AM.
