I found a Square Wave 255 about an hour from me for 1000.00. Looks to be pretty complete and includes a step transformer, 50ft of input cable and a disconnect. These are a single phase machine right? Is it worth going to see for that price?Airco Heliweld II AC/DC HomeMade Wire FeederLincoln 255PLincoln HD130Everlast PP804x8 CNC TableWelding helps me build my hobbies and takes up time on the side.

Reply:I'm not too worried about the water cooler solenoids. I made it work in the past by tapping the signals already existing in the welder and making it work. I did find more info saying it can be either. Reply:No pics as I never finished it as I sold the welder. Just found the gas solenoid, used a small draw relay with the same voltage coil and tapped into that to add another solenoid. Was going to used a small pump that had an internal bypass and ran on 220v so it ran constant with the welder on. Pre-gas flow starts and water flows. I had an adjustable off-delay timer to keep the water flowing even longer then post gas flow. Simple wiring. Had to do something similar to a Mig that had a manual gas valve in the torch head when I put a new 16ft lead on it.Airco Heliweld II AC/DC HomeMade Wire FeederLincoln 255PLincoln HD130Everlast PP804x8 CNC TableWelding helps me build my hobbies and takes up time on the side. |
